NASA: Strange and Sudden Massive Melt in Greenland

July 25, 2012

Nearly all of Greenland’s massive ice sheet suddenly started melting a bit this month, a freak event that surprised scientists.

Even Greenland’s coldest and highest place, Summit station, showed melting. Ice core records show that last happened in 1889 and occurs about once every 150 years.

Three satellites show what NASA calls unprecedented melting of the ice sheet that blankets the island, starting on July 8 and lasting four days. Most of the thick ice remains. While some ice usually melts during the summer, what was unusual was that the melting happened in a flash and over a widespread area.

“You literally had this wave of warm air wash over the Greenland ice sheet and melt it,” NASA ice scientist Tom Wagner said Tuesday.

Great Waves of Change!! Have we have been there and Done That?
The Greenland melting was greater than it normally is. However that being said global warming and hence climate change is a natural cyclical process. I am not panicked by the 2012 crowd or your comments of change i.e. doom and gloom.

2500 years ago there were societies where every home had indoor toilet device of some kind. King Minos of Crete had the first flushing water closet recorded in history and that was over 2800 years ago.

So in light of your article, Great Waves of Change and the water crisis , the best example I refer people to is the so called Dark Ages. I compare it with the so called water problems/global climate change crisis. The Dark Ages were a direct result of the churches and leaders refusing to use sanitation systems of the Romans. The church maintained they wanted nothing to do with whatever they had including good hygiene practices and indoor water.

Similarly 3rd world nations refuse to adapt to our western standards of concern and caring in the implementation of their customs and practices. This is particularly reflective in building codes, emergency services, and public justice. Often times I hear the words Eurocentric. Sounds like what the church of the Dark Ages said about using Roman sanitation systems.

Like you I believe that technology coupled with cooperation borne out of Agape Love can overcome the problems your article speaks of. However you can lead a horse to water but can you make him drink? I think not and hence massive disease and death. Doesn’t sound like Great Waves of Change are coming just plain old ignorance and a Spiritual Malaise.

    Peace & Blessings Always,

Humanity has overspent its natural inheritance. It has overused and misused the world’s resources. It has defiled the waters of the world. It has poisoned the silos of the world. It has attacked and eliminated species of the world. It has filled the air with poisonous gases, particulate matter, pollution of so many kinds. You cannot do this without consequences. And to think that the consequences are insignificant, or should not be your primary concern, is literally to push them off into the future, to burden your children with them.

To overuse the world has predictable consequences. But because of greed and recklessness, and the unwillingness or inability to think ahead, humanity has now created an era of depravation. You are now facing a world of declining resources, a world of diminishing assets, a world where a growing population will have to drink from a slowly shrinking well. The climates of the world have now been disrupted, which will bring great havoc upon peoples everywhere, disturbing the natural balance to such an extent that it will produce unfavorable conditions for the human family.

      -The New Message from God

      For those who have Awareness,
      a hint is quite enough.
      For the multitudes of heedless
      mere knowledge is useless.
