If carbon emissions from energy use indicate economic growth, the world economy
is roaring back. In 2010 carbon dioxide from energy production erased a 2009 dip
and exceeded the previous record, set in 2008, by 5 percent, according to a estimates released
yesterday by the International Energy Agency.
